Meet our Honorary Patron,  the prolific  British actress Jane Merrow. Jane boasts a diverse career on stage and screen, spanning over 50 years,  She played the lead character, Lorna Doone, in the original 1963 BBC TV series adaptation. She also co-starred as Angela in Planet Films' 1967 sci-fi horror,  'Night of the Big Heat',  with Hammer legends Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee and  in her  1968 Golden Globe nominated role as Alais in 'The Lion in Winter', she worked  alongside superstar luminaries Katharine Hepburn and Peter O'Toole, a film which also featured a very young Anthony Hopkins and future Bond star, Timothy Dalton.  Jane's other co-stars in her long career, have included Oliver Reed, William Shatner, Beau Bridges and Stewart Granger. She went on to appear in many cult TV series on both sides of the Atlantic, including 'The Prisoner', 'Mission Impossible', 'The Six Million Dollar Man', 'U.F.O' and  'Lovejoy'.  Although Jane has re-located to Idaho, where she still enjoys a career both behind on stage and on screen, her acting career still brings her to the UK.  These days, as well as continuing her acting, she enjoys producing 'New Chilling Tales',  short  horror-based anthologies in the style of the classic Hammer anthologies.  You can keep up to date with her current exploits at
